1879: A sangre y fuego en las costas de los Andes
By Carlos Vildoso
1879: A sangre y fuego is a wargame covering the main campaigns of the War of the Pacific: the campaigns of Antofagasta, Tarapá and Tacna, as well as the maritime operations involved. One player leads the Chilean army, while the other leads the Peruvian and Bolivian troops. The map represents the zone of the conflict, between Arequipa and the desert of Atacama. It is a typical wargame with the system "I go - you go", in which victory is obtained by means of control of geographical objectives. The rules take into account supply and lines of communication.
