Board Game
Psiduel
By Adam Watts, Gilbert Nicoll · Art by Adam Watts
Psiduel is an intense, psychological dueling game for two players. Players take the role of psionic test subjects, pitted against one another in an "experiment" only one of them can survive. It is visceral and fast; playable in under 15 minutes. At the beginning of a game, each player prepares a grid consisting of six cards face down. This grid represents the player’s psionic defenses. The card backs display a number from one to three, letting the opponent know the strength of the defense, but not the type. Each player has an offense and defense deck to draw from. During a round, players burn cards off the top of a deck in order to play cards from their hand, either to replenish their defenses or attack. The object of the game is to destroy your opponent’s defenses, and reduce them to zero life by attacking unoccupied spaces on their grid. 72 cards (2 decks of 36, one for each player) and a simple rule sheet come in the box. No add-ons required.
