metradoms

This domino-style game was designed with the intention of teaching the metric system. Players align hex-shaped pieces in such a way that equal measures of different units match. This can reinforce the base-10 concept of the metric system (eg, 1 kilogram = 1000 grams), or show the conversion rates between metric and imperial measures (eg, 1 litre = 1.06 quarts). Tiles for volume, mass and length are given, with the ability to "bridge" between the types with specific tiles.
