Sword of Fire: the Battle of Lutter, 27th August 1626

By Roberto Chiavini · Art by Giulia Canova

After having passed most of the summer season waiting for event, Christian of Denmark decided to stir himself up and join the other part of his army to combat Tilly, left a little unmanned after having lost several detachments to guard conquered cities. His movements where to slow, and when the two armies joined battle, Tilly was probably a little superior to his opponent. Christian was unable to avoid the clash, and he suffered a defeat. Each combat unit represents from 250 to 1500 soldiers, and it is rated, from left to right, for combat morale and movement. Each infantry strength point is around 150 men, each cavalry strength point around 80 men. Each leader is rated for Command (indicating how many activation chits that leader has) and Movement. Each hex is about 75 meters. Each turn is half on hour. Contains: 6 page rules 11x17" map (in 2 8.5x11" parts) 1 player aid 216 counters and markers
