Catur Bistari, Malaysia's own version of Monopoly, is designed to help educate players on the intricacies of the business world and to inculcate the necessary qualities anchored on Islamic values to emerge as successful business people. The term "Catur" (chess) is used to describe the rules and regulation or the strategic maneuvers in business. The board and the game method is akin to Monopoly, and supports four to six players. The game is sold at Kentucky Fried Chicken outlets in Malaysia, and is marketed as a family game, suitable for children and adults alike.
