Board Game
Punto y Raya
By (Uncredited)
Punto y Raya translates as "Point and Line". The lines are the walls, presumably. The game is similar to Puntos y Cajas [Dots and Boxes], a.k.a. Timbiriche. The players alternate placing walls on the 8×8 board (optionally, the walls must be contiguous). Whenever an area is closed off, the player claims it with one of their marker pins. Optionally, whenever a player claims an area, they play again. Whoever has captured most of the board squares when the last wall is placed wins. Similar to: Honeycomb (which uses a hex board) Squares (which uses a cross-shaped board) Box-It (the walls can pivot to enclose areas)
