Pounce

Pounce is a fast-paced, travel-friendly party game created by Big Potato Games designed for two or more players ages eight and up. The game consists of eighty double-sided cards featuring a letter on one side and a category on the other. It tests players' reflexes and quick thinking during a typical twenty-minute playtime. During each round, the dealer places a number of cards equal to the player count in the center of the table with the letter side facing up. One player then flips a card to reveal a category, prompting all players to immediately think of a word that fits the prompt while starting with one of the remaining visible letters. As soon as a player thinks of a valid word, they must shout it out loud and physically grab the corresponding letter card to add it to their personal collection. This mechanic ensures that every player can grab a card each round except for the slowest participant, who receives nothing. Rounds continue in this frantic manner as players accumulate letters. The first person to collect enough letter cards to successfully spell a word of five letters or more wins the game.
