Every turn, players move their raccoon toward victory and move the trash token to disrupt their opponents. How to Play Raccoon D'État is easy to learn and quick to play. Most games take about 15–30 minutes and every turn presents meaningful choices. Set up the game Place the game board in the center of the table. Place all 16 loot tokens on their matching colored houses. Place the trash token on the center fountain space. Each player chooses a raccoon pawn and places it on their matching home base. The player who most recently saw a raccoon takes the first turn. On your turn... Each turn begins with a spin of the wheel. You must then move your raccoon pawn and the trash token up to the number of spaces shown. Spin the wheel. Move your raccoon pawn and move the trash token. Collect treasure, steal from rivals, or bank treasure if able. Example Turn You spin an 8. You may move your raccoon up to 8 spaces toward treasure, and move the trash token up to 2 spaces to block an opponent's path. Another Game Concept Treasure can be stolen! If you move adjacent to a rival carrying treasure while you are empty-handed, you may steal their loot. Stealing does not end your turn, so clever raccoons can keep running after a successful heist. —description from the designer
