The Last Relic of R’lyeh

Ancient horrors wait beyond time and space, lurking in the shadows between worlds. A secret cult has begun gathering forbidden relics, seeking to summon a Great Old One and open the way for its return. The Last Relic of R’lyeh is an asymmetric two-player card game in which one player controls the Cult and the other controls the Adventurer. The Cult deploys cultists to different locations, uses their abilities, gathers relics, and tries to complete the ritual before being exposed. The Adventurer investigates locations, collects clues, steals relics, damages cultists, and increases the Cult’s exposure. Both players can improve their options during the game by acquiring double-sided reinforcement cards, which have different effects depending on which party buys them. The game ends immediately when either the Cult or the Adventurer fulfills their victory condition. —description from the publisher
