Monster Maze

Monster Maze Rules Follow a pathway through an everchanging maze. Components Layered game board 100 wooden/magnetic directional tiles 10 monster tiles; 2 monster gates 4 coins 4 player tokens One die Setup Shuffle all tiles and arrange them randomly into the game board. Include at least two Monster Tiles. Optionally add coins onto the monster tiles. For an advanced game, optionally add the Monster Gate tile Each player places their clear token in any corner Home space. Gameplay Players take turns rolling the die and performing the action shown: 1, 3, or 4 : Rotate any empty tile one or more turns. 2 : Swap the positions of any two empty tiles. 5 or 6 : Move your token up to 5 spaces by following the direction of the arrows on the tiles. Note that you cannot swap or rotate a tile that was just manipulated by an opponent – wait for the next turn. Movement Rules Tokens may move only along connected paths. Players are not required to move the full 5 spaces. Monster Gate (Advanced Game) If the Monster Gate(s) is in play, a valid path to your destination must pass through the Monster Gate before reaching the goal. Winning the Game Be the first player to move your token into the Home space in the corner diagonally opposite your starting Home. Strategies If you feel an opponent is closer to winning, rotate or swap tiles that can help them. —description from the publisher
