Welcome to Reel Mayhem, a strategic showdown where 2–4 players run rival movie theater chains. Across four seasons, you’ll compete to screen the hottest films, navigate unpredictable performance twists, and outmaneuver your rivals through clever marketing, cutting-edge technology, and unforgettable guest experience. Only one exhibitor will emerge with the most cash to claim box office glory by year’s end. During Theater Operations, players take turns placing dice onto spinning Reels to advance their Managers along four Film Strips: Marketing, Screens, Technology, and Guest Experience. Advancing on these tracks unlocks bonuses that will improve your theater’s overall success in later phases and determines turn order for the next season. In Film Premieres, players compete to premiere the season’s hottest Films by spinning the active Reels shown on the Event card. Winning a Premiere grants a secret look at a hidden Performance card, revealing whether a Film is destined to become a smash hit or a disastrous flop. Players then leave public Reviews by placing fresh or rotten Tomato tokens on the Films—honestly or deceptively—to influence how their opponents allocate Screens later in the round. During Now Playing, players secretly bid their available Screens across the season’s three Films in an attempt to maximize profits and strengthen Studio partnerships. Once bids are revealed, hidden Performance cards and accumulated Reviews determine each Film’s final Star Power, dramatically affecting payouts. At year's end, the Exhibitor with the most money wins the game!
