Evac Ops

Twenty civilians, ten photo tokens, and three helpers (a frontline rescuer, an aid worker, and a combat photojournalist) are placed on squares in a 13X10 war zone. A deck of resource cards is placed face-down, and a marker is placed at the top of a resource track. Players take turns executing up to three actions, which can include moving one square per action or discarding four identical resource cards to move the resource marker back one space. In addition, the frontline rescuer may pick up two civilians with one action, and the aid worker may pick up one. When those two helpers are on the same space, either may spend an action to transfer the civilians to the aid worker, who can transport them to a safe area. The aid worker can expand the safe areas by discarding four identical resource cards and placing a photo token on the new area. The photojournalist can spend an action to pick up a photo token, which will move the resource marker back one space. After taking their actions, players draw two cards from the deck. After each round of three turns, the resource marker moves forward a space. The game is won if all the civilians are transported to safety before the deck runs out and before the resource marker reaches the end of the track.
