The Way We Collect

A game for Collectors, created by Collectors. In The Way We Collect, you are a minimalist but ambitious collector competing to build the most impressive collection of toys. Over a series of rounds, players secretly bid coins in simultaneous sealed auctions to win lots of toys, then carefully arrange their acquisitions on a limited 3×3 shelf — where every card placed must share at least one characteristic with its neighbours. Toys are defined by four attributes: Color, Typology, Material, and Condition. When you move a group into a new Collection, matching characteristics with existing ones triggers powerful combos, earning you bonus cards. At the end of each round, you can also sell cards from your collections to refuel your budget for the next auction. The game ends when the draw deck runs out. Players score points based on their ranking in each Collection category — but beware: toys left in the Attic cost you 2 points each. Oh, and the box itself?
