Board Game
Miss Steaks
By Todd McDonough
Rival butchers compete to achieve the leanest cuts of meat by winning as few tricks as possible—ideally just one. A twist on a trick-avoidance game, players gain blood when they win tricks, which can be spent to trim the value of their cards in future tricks and avoid extra wins. Each player can use their cleaver to split a trick into two separate tricks, creating new tactical choices. At the end of each round, the player who wins the fewest tricks (winning zero tricks does not qualify) is the round winner, with blood used as a tiebreaker if needed. The first player to win three rounds wins the game. —description from the designer
