Thieves' Tails

Thieves’ Tails is a competitive worker-placement strategy game for 1–4 players set in the bustling city of Bramblewick, where crews of thieves compete for riches, reputation, and influence in the shadows. Each player leads a small crew of thieves from the guild, sending them across the Slums and city to gather resources, recruit new guild members, and prepare daring heists. On a player’s turn, they place one of their crew (workers) onto a location in the slums or the city to perform an action. These actions allow players to collect valuable resources, draw Guild Member cards with unique abilities, complete jobs for coin, or prepare for future heists. Because each location has limited space, players must carefully plan their moves and anticipate the actions of their opponents. Throughout the game, players build their crew by recruiting Guild Members, each providing special abilities that create powerful combinations and strategic advantages. Resource tokens such as Briarmarks, diamonds, scrolls, and lockpicks are used to complete objectives and trigger abilities. The city of Bramblewick constantly changes as Day and Night event cards introduce new opportunities and complications. Guards increase patrols, city factions stir, and unexpected events reshape the strategic landscape. After a set number of rounds, the game ends and players total their guild points earned from completed heists, recruited guild members, collected loot, and other objectives. The player with the most guild points has built the most legendary crew of thieves, wins the game and signs their name into the Thieves Tales.
