Prisoners Dilemma
By Samuel Blight · Art by Rachel Bailey, Tianah Dornmayr
Prisoners Dilemma is a social strategy game inspired by the classic dilemma of trust and betrayal. Players must navigate the prison, avoid the guards, and reach their disarm switches in an attempt to escape. But this is where the real decision begins. When a player reaches their switch, they must choose: Disarm the alarm… or Trigger a silent alarm If everyone disarms the alarm, everyone escapes and wins. If one player triggers the silent alarm, only that player escapes. If two or more players trigger the silent alarm, the alarm is raised — and no one escapes. Each game takes around 15–20 minutes, making it easy to play multiple rounds and see how trust (or betrayal) evolves between players. Can you rely on your fellow inmates to cooperate… or will you betray them for your own freedom? —description from the designer
