Fake Zebra
By Gabriel Buendía Herrerías, Nico Cardona · Art by Isaac Murgadella
Fake Zebra is a hidden-role memory game in which players are zebras enjoying a party filled with activities — except one or more lions have infiltrated the celebration in disguise. The zebras must work together to complete all activities before midnight, while the lions secretly try to sabotage the group without revealing themselves. At the start of the game, players briefly memorize the position of face-down activity cards arranged in grids. On a turn, a player reveals cards one by one, trying to uncover the four matching cards of an activity. Completing an activity removes those cards from the game, but revealing a different activity by mistake advances the clock toward midnight. Players may discuss information freely, and lions may lie to mislead the group. If all activities are completed before the clock reaches 12 PM, the zebras win. Otherwise, the players vote to identify the hidden lion. Correctly exposing the lion gives victory to the zebras; if the wrong player is accused, the lions win.
