Hybrid War

War is raging again in Europe, after the invasion of Ukraine in 2022. But another type of warfare is happening in the shadows: hybrid war. Hybrid warfare, also called 'grey zone' or 'sub-threshold' warfare, is when a hostile state carries out an anonymous, deniable attack, usually in highly suspicious circumstances. It will be enough to harm their opponent, especially their infrastructure assets, but stop short of being an attributable act of war (source: BBC). The aim of hybrid warfare is to disrupt, sabotage, and weaken cohesion among Western allies. Hybrid War is a solitaire war game. You will control three Western (WEST) secret service agents, as they seek to detect and disrupt enemy hybrid war actions. The game will control the non-player faction, consisting of three Russian (RUSS) secret service agents. Victory Conditions The WEST faction (you, the player) win the game if the Disruption counter has not reached the ‘10’ space on the disruption track when the game ends after 7 game turns. The game ends with Russian victory if the disruption counter reaches the ‘10’ space on the disruption track.
