You are an arachnologist, determined to catalogue rare species and put your name on the next landmark publication. Araknid is a solo card game that puts control in your hands. Every turn is a dilemma. Optimization, strategy, and planning intertwine for short, tense sessions where good timing makes all the difference. Stripped of any superfluous elements, the challenge is pure and the sense of progression is real. Climb the ranks of research, build your reputation, and earn international renown. Each turn: Move your Action cards to prepare your strategy. Select your Actions for the round, place bait, explore Locations, catch spiders and advance your research. The environment responds to your choices: terrain effects, events and surprises will impact your plans. Discover rare spiders, optimize your catches and become an arachnologist. The game ends when you run out of spider cards.
