NecroMasters

NecroMaster is a two-player card game that combines the elements of Chess and Mafia in a simplified format. Players seek to attack the opponent's king: NecroMaster in order to win. Instead of pawns, players initially place cards facedown, thereby hiding the location of the king and others. Players can use the cards' abilities when they are face-up at the cost of giving hints on the location of the king. Those cards include Knight, Archer, Bomber, Priest, and Magician; players can freely arrange each card's positions at the start of the game, and use their unique abilities each turn. Those unique abilities include, for example, the Knight parries attacks from the front, the Archer can range attack, and the Bomber destroys left, right, and front cards when destroyed. The Magician can swap the positions of cards, and the Priest can destroy a face-down card if players guess the cards correctly. Besides using unique abilities, players can attack an adjacent card using their face-down/face-up card, or move their cards to adjacent vacant spots (where cards were destroyed) each turn. Overall, this game has a good balance of elements of luck and strategy. Players can read the opponent's mind to one-turn kill, or strategically eliminate the opponent's cards one by one in order to win. —description from the publisher
