Cerita Tobelo

Cerita Tobelo is an educational card game for 2-4 players (ages 7+) focused on enhancing reading comprehension and temporal reasoning by requiring players to logically sequence events within a narrative. The game utilizes 84 Story Cards divided into six different context sets (e.g., Local History, Daily Activities, Climate Change, or Fufu Fish Processing). In the main Classic Mode, players draw a card and must guess the correct chronological slot to place it among a growing timeline of previously revealed cards, shouting out their guess (e.g., "Before Card B" or "After Card C"). The cards are then revealed to show the correct "time stamp" or "chapter number." If the player guesses correctly, the card is placed in the designated slot, expanding the timeline, and the turn passes. The goal is to correctly sequence the entire deck for the chosen story set, with the emphasis being on practice, peer feedback, and mastery of the reading material rather than competitive scoring. —description from the designer
