1940 Narvik

The battles in Norway in 1940 were a series of battles at the battalion and brigade level. The Germans were the first to attack, landing in Narvik and taking over the port and surrounding areas with little resistance from the Norwegians. The largest battle took place near Narvik, when French, Polish, British and Norwegian troops attacked the German mountain infantry, supported by paratroopers and sailors. The Allies' success was not complete, however. They failed to destroy the encircled Germans, and they held out until relief arrived. The game also includes battles at Kvam, Dombas and Midtskogen.
