Each game features a randomly selected Mastermind who pursues a unique evil Scheme, creating a distinct challenge for players. Throughout the game, players build their decks by recruiting Heroes and acquiring powerful cards to strengthen their capabilities. Sidekick cards provide crucial support in defeating Villains and completing objectives that emerge during play. The game incorporates a Hope and Fear Tracker that measures the overall state of the conflict.
