Board Game
Townsends
By Magyaros Mátyás
1778, America. While British command relies on its vast power, loyal soldiers, and the court of King George, George Washington forms a secret agency to watch over the occupied New York and extend American influence across the Atlantic. Players take the side of the Americans, the British, or one of the European powers to compete in gathering and delivering intelligence on the unfolding conflict, while also building their nation's influence through diplomatic ties with France, Spain and the Netherlands. In each turn, players will play cards, which may be used in multiple ways to overcome suspected enemies whose identity will remain secret unless they choose to reveal themselves. Victory goes to the side that controls the most cities and creates the strongest intelligence network by the final round of the game. —description from the designer
