Battle of Bentonville: March 19th-21st
By Bill Molyneaux · Art by George L. Heredia
The Battle of Bentonville (March 19-21, 1865) was the largest Civil War battle in North Carolina and the last major battle between the armies under William T. Sherman and Joseph E. Johnston. The Confederate General Johnston was ordered to stop the Union Army from advancing on Bentonville and hoped to destroy Sherman’s Union army in piecemeal. This game offers two scenario variants: the first day of battle and the full three-day battle scenario that covers more area around the map. —description from the designer
