Board Game
StrikeFirstNow
By Clement Galluccio
StrikeFirstNow is a one or two-player hex & counter game simulation of a present-day hypothetical conflict between two opposing armed forces of unknown origin represented by company-level field units set in a roughly 50-square-mile area. The objective is to secure and control a mid-sized city and key infrastructure. Key aspects of the game mechanics include an arbitrary chit-selection unit command activation sequence of play, a non-binding zone of control/influence, and fluid rules for combat and movement order. While intended for two players, the unpredictable nature of a chit pull to determine the active player facilitates those who favor solitaire. —description from the designer
