ASCARI is a set of rules for combats between companies of regular armies and/or native armed groups in the period between 1860-1912 in Africa, Middle and Far East and America. The rule set gives the players the basics of the system: description of units and Leaders, Movement rules, Opportunity and Fire Combat, Melèe Combat, Artillery Fire, with special and unique capabilities for special units, like Spearmen or Cavalry. The system is based initially on the stories of the loyal indigenous solders (Ascari) who fought for Italy in Eritrea, the first Italian colony at the end of XIX century.
