A Summer in Sarajevo
By Ryan Heilman · Art by Ryan Heilman
A Summer in Sarajevo is a tense, postcard-sized solitaire game where you guide Archduke Franz Ferdinand’s motorcade through the streets of Sarajevo on the fateful day of his assassination. As you navigate a map filled with hidden counters - some representing crowds, others deadly assassins - you must make strategic movement choices that affect your danger level and health. Each encounter with an assassin triggers a die roll that can escalate the threat or cause injury. Your goal is to reach the Museum safely, managing risk and responding to injuries along the way. With simple mechanics and historical flavor, this compact game delivers suspenseful decision-making in under 10 minutes. —description from the publisher
