Board Game
Die Schreib-Krake
By The Game Works, Inc. · Art by Camille Chaussy
This is a flicking game which helps children from 6 to 9 years to learn writing letters and words. For setup place all 32 letter (and letter combinations) cards such as a-z, au, ... in a 4 times 8 grid on the table. Every player gets a sheet with 6 words on it. The starting player flicks a marker in the direction of the cards. The matching card with the marker on it can now be drawn by all players filling out all letters of the selected one. If the marker touches multiple cards the active player can decide which one to use. If the player is not successful selecting a card or wants another choice it is possible to flick up to three times but only the last result counts. After this the card is turned on the back side and the next player has his turn. Once a player finishes all words and has no remaining letters this person wins. There exists also a cooperative version.
