Board Game
Mark & Play
By Máté Lencse
Can a full board game fit on a single bookmark? It seems the answer is yes. And all you need is a book and a pencil? Absolutely! GAMEPLAY Open the book at random on a double-page spread between pages 10 and 81. You must use both dice values in two different areas out of the three available. For example: Catalog and Browsing Room. You cannot place both in the Catalog, for instance. You may use any earned bonuses at any time. SCORING Catalog: Points are awarded for completing the 2nd, 4th, and 6th rows, if all dice in those rows are crossed out. If you start a row but do not finish it, each remaining uncrossed die in that row is worth –1 point. Browsing Room: Points are awarded for completing the 1st, 3rd, and 5th rows. No negative points here. Reading Room: Up to 16 points can be earned for forming a meaningful six-word sentence. A meaningful sentence of at least four words scores 7 points. MAXIMUM SCORE POSSIBLE IN THE GAME: 30 END OF THE GAME The game ends immediately if any of the three areas becomes completely filled. —description from the designer
