MARKET FORTUNE® Market Fortune is a premium tabletop financial simulator, a card driven board game where you build a portfolio of investments while disrupting your opponents through a shared strategy deck. At heart it is a game about learning to invest, manage and grow a fortune inside a high pressure, highly competitive market, and the first player to form four investments worth 25 million or more wins. Here is how it works. Each player starts with eight Construction Cards, four Stocks valued from 1M to 5M across 12 industries, and four Returns valued from plus 1M to plus 5M. On your turn you take exactly one action. You Build, drawing and swapping a construction card to improve your hand. You Risk, pairing a Stock and a Return from the same industry and rolling the Fortune Die to lock in the investment. Or you Dominate, drawing a Strategy card to attack, defend or change the state of the game. The Fortune Die has four positive faces and two negative ones. Roll positive and your investment is placed face down, hidden from everyone until someone declares victory, and Momentum lets you draw a Strategy card right away. Roll negative and both cards return to your hand. The Strategy deck holds 60 cards in four colors, each with its own timing. Red cards are instant and play on your turn, like Shrewd Move to steal an investment, Market Crash to wipe the board, or Fortune to bypass the die. Blue cards are reactive and fire when you are attacked, like Diamond Hands to block several threats or Wrong Analyst to reflect an attack back. Green cards modify investment values at key moments. Yellow cards are permanent and revealed at the end for surprise scoring, like Diversification King, which adds 8M when your four investments span four different industries, or Booming Industry, which doubles or triples same industry investments. The tension comes from hidden information and a hand that keeps shrinking. You can see how many investments your opponents hold, but never their values, so a player with three small investments can look dominant while sitting well short of the 25M threshold. The eight card hand limit is always active, so every investment you lock face down leaves you more exposed, and a single Market Crash can undo a leader who did not keep a defense card in reserve. Catch up is built into the cards, with Lucky Investor that only works from last place and Federal Audit that lets a trailing player peek at a leader's strategy hand, and Portfolio Optimization lets you swap cards between your hand and your face down investments at any time, even right before declaring victory, which rewards careful planning across the whole game. It plays three ways. Fortune Mode is the standard game for 2 to 6 players, 20 to 45 minutes, ages 14 and up, with the full strategy deck and the 25M threshold. Championship Mode chains several consecutive games, and the first to reach 100M across sessions wins the title. Family Mode runs 15 to 30 minutes, where the first to form four investments wins with no value counting, and cards that do not apply simply grant an extra turn. That range is why the same box works for families, for investors, entrepreneurs, traders and the psycho trading community, and for companies and universities that use it for leadership development, decision making and financial edutainment. Market Fortune is a modern, upgraded alternative to classic financial board games like Cashflow, and a sharper, market driven cousin to Monopoly and Catan, with 12 industries, real market cycles, negotiation and the reading of intent. It is a game for education and entertainment, not an investment platform, broker, exchange, trading service or betting product, and no real money is used, since all the money in the game is fictional. Components include 180 unique cards, made of 60 Stock, 60 Return and 60 Strategy, one Fortune Die and a rulebook. No board is required, so the game is fully table flexible. A note from the designer.
