Plastic Grenades: Rules for Generic Army Men at the Squad Level

Plastic Grenades is a light wargame about skirmish actions with plastic soldiers and vehicles at the squad level and below, which sets it apart from other rulesets of the type out there. The focus is on the individual soldiers, the challenges and risks they have to face, and their heroic, sometimes unbelievable deeds in combat. The game is not intended to be realistic at all, though it was designed to take into account and reward the good use of military concepts and tactics such as combined arms, cover, flanking, massing of fire, momentum, morale, overwatch, range, suppression, etc. We could fairly say that these rules intend to capture the essence of those military concepts at the firefight level, within the scope and constraints of the base game system. —description from the designer
