The goal of the game is to move your elephant across the game board farther than the other players. To do this, you need to come up with associations for your cards and guess other players' cards based on their associations. The winner is the one who best recognizes other players' cards while giving associations that are recognizable but not too obvious. The idea is that at least one player understands which card you chose, but at least one player does not guess it.
