The Ground Between

The Ground Between is a low-to-medium complexity Tactical-level wargame set on Western Front of World War 1. It covers infantry conflicts over no man’s land between France and Germany. Each game portrays a short engagement (playable in one hour) of Battle of Ypres around 1914 - 1915 in the Western Front. The game features low counter count, one-sided, and large counters, which is ideal for Print & Play. The combat system is specifically developed to reflect trench warfare: the emergence of machine guns that change modern warfare, the deadliness of close quarter combat, and the importance of troops’ morale as much as tactics in the battlefield. —description from the designer
