Socotra's Hottest Day: Most Exciting Day of Socotra
By Makoto Fukuda · Art by Takeshi Kurokawa
Socotra's Hottest Day is a Japanese Doujin made by the Great Sato Society Doujin Group. The game is set in the Red Sun Black Cross world where Germany wins WW2, and Japan, Britain, and the USA band together to stop them. This particular scenario takes place on November 8, 1948, on Socotra Island in the Indian Ocean. Japanese and British forces attack the Island, which is a German base for operations in the Indian Ocean, in order to assist the Americans who are dealing with an Invasion of the USA. The Island is held by the 15th German Panzergrenadier Division. The Japanese vanguard force was counterattacked by a superior force of German armor. They are now pressing down on the beaches, and the Allied forces make a counterattack of their own to stop the German advance. The game consists of a folder, rules, map, and 198 counters.
