Herschels

By André Teruya, Igor Knop, Robert Coelho, Sérgio Halaban

At the turn of the 18th century, the night sky was an uncharted frontier. Under the guidance of astronomer Caroline Lucretia Herschel and her brother William Herschel, a new generation of scholars is called upon to chart stars, identify comets, and name unknown celestial bodies. Herschels is presented in a tabloid-style newspaper with integrated rules and game board. A few additional components are required to play: a pencil, a pen, a ruler, and a standard deck of cards. Each round, two revealed cards determine the coordinate where the player may draw a line and which actions are available on the Celestial Map—such as discovering stars, planets, and comets, or defining constellations. Completed missions grant extra actions and allow players to name a Celestial Body. After 8 rounds, the player with the most Prestige Points wins. —description from the designer
