Colonize: The New World

As you carve out colonies in the New World, you’ll face competition from the native inhabitants defending their homes and European powers on the same quest as you. Whether your colony establishes peaceful trade or wages war with these rivals, the choice is yours. But beware — as your power grows, your king’s goodwill turns to jealousy, and soon your people will demand freedom from his rule. If you’re bold enough to declare independence, prepare for a fierce battle. Only those who can outwit and outfight the king’s formidable army will secure victory, forge a new nation, and win the game! Each turn, players work to strengthen their foothold by gathering resources, forging alliances (through a robust treaty system), and developing their settlements — all while facing off against native tribes, royal forces, or even rival players. When a player believes their colonies are strong enough, they can risk it all and declare independence.
