Board Game
Waging Peace
Waging Peace invites board game players to exercise strategy, experience cooperation, and practice diplomacy in the context of international geopolitical conflict. Players navigate the global sphere of government and law, as well as nuclear energy and rocket science, determining what is ethical and just in their pursuit of peace. The objective of the game is to obtain any one of 3 "Peace Checks" Resource Peace Check, Power Peace Check and Strategic Peace Check. With sufficient resources , the winner influences other players to live in peaceful competition rather than embroiled in conflict. Each player has the choice to place a marker at the Peace Space or Justice Space to begin. From either space players roll the dice and proceed along the playing area of the board claiming Resource Sectors, Nuclear Forces Spaces and Outer- Space Units. Each player may do business and conduct diplomatic relations with the players according to the rules and procedures of the game. The player who acts as a peacemaker not only demonstrates tact and patience, but also effective negotiating skills in order to form alliances. The first player to obtain one of three Peace Check wins. —description from the designer
