Board Game
Queteb
By Anton Amani Hallin, Jonathan Hallin · Art by Anton Amani Hallin
In Queteb, players assume the roles of rival architects in ancient Egypt, working together to construct a single, grand pyramid as the pharaoh’s tomb. Though they collaborate on building, only one player will earn the title of the kingdom’s foremost architect. The game begins with one player placing the first block, after which players alternate turns to add more blocks to the growing structure. Gameplay emphasizes tactical placement and movement, with players “jumping” on blocks to reach higher levels. The first player to complete the pyramid’s fifth level wins. Each architect must think ahead in three dimensions to outmaneuver the other and secure their place at the top! —description from the designer
