Hex Hive: Bee Chess
By Kyle Pierce
Gameplay Turns: Players alternate turns, either moving/attacking with a Bee (a die) or adding a Reinforcement Bee. Bees slide like chess pieces; Scouts (#3) can jump over pieces. Attacking: If a Bee ends its move on an enemy Bee’s hex, the enemy Bee is removed. Reinforcements: Use Red dice points to bring back removed Bees. If the Queen is killed, it must be immediately replaced if points allow; otherwise, the game is lost. Honey Gems: Block movement for all Bees except Workers (#1). Game End: The game ends when a Queen is killed and the player cannot reinforce with another Queen due to insufficient points. Bee Types and Movement Queen (6): Moves 1 hex in any direction. Warrior (4): Moves any number of hexes in a straight line. Scout (3): Moves 2 hexes straight, then 1 hex in a different direction. Drone (2): Moves 2 hexes in any direction. Worker (1): Moves 1 hex in any direction, can carry Gems. —description from the designer
