Manacaster

Manacaster is a tabletop card-battle game for two players. It was designed by experts with an emphasis on balanced gameplay and encouraging skillful play. Units are the driving force at the heart of Manacaster. Without your army of monsters, mercenaries, and machines, you are nothing. Actions allow you to manipulate Units, refill your hand with cards, or gain back life points. The right Action, deployed at the right time, can win you a game outright. Manacaster was designed to put players ( not randomness ) in command of their destiny. Here are a few ways we achieved that goal: Both players act each turn using a simple back-and-forth priority system. Each turn, one player is the Attacker and the other is the Defender. Both players get a Mana card each turn, selected from their mana deck. Players are shown 14 cards to start the game, of which they select 7. Strict, mathematical framework to maintain balance among cards & abilities. Rigid structure to determine which Keywords correspond to which Elements. —description from the publisher
