Metus

With area majority gameplay Metus is both a 2-player game as well as a solo COIN-style game. Both representing a nation on the brink of civil war and the factions working within it to become the dominate social force. Every map has shared Advisor Actions unique to the map, in 2-player Metus the players compete to sway these Advisors, then bid for turn order before the next round begins. What makes Metus unique is that you not only are competing for territory, but winning Dominance in Areas actually creates backlash losing Adoration. With 3 unique scoring tracks in 2-player Metus (Initiative, Adoration and Dominance) and 4 unique scoring tracks in solo Metus (Fear, Morale, Adoration and Dominance) each game is a careful balancing act on your path to victory. —description from the designer
