The Brigade without Color
By Yasushi Nakaguro
The Evacuation of Zhangjiakou This is a solitaire wargame on the Battle of Maruichi Camp, in Manchuria, from August 19 to 21, 1945. This battle took place after the surrender of Imperial Japan. To allow Japanese nationals in Zhangjiakou to escape safely, the Independent Mixed Second Brigade refused to comply with the demands of Soviet and Outer Mongolian armies to disarm, and instead defended Maruichi Camp which was on the road leading to Zhangjiakou. The player controls the Japanese army. The Soviet/Outer Mongolian army (hereafter referred to as the Soviet army) is controlled by the game system.
