When did Rommel get his goggles?
By Nanka Waguri
When did Rommel get his goggles? is a game simulating the fighting between the British and the Axis in North Africa from November 1940 (Operation Compass) to May 1941 (Operation Sonnenblume). The maneuver warfare and supply issues of the North African campaign are represented with simple rules. In the early stages, the British forces advance rapidly. However, once the German forces arrive, the Axis powers quickly gain the upper hand. Predicting the next developments and planning operations during the "Strategy Phase" becomes the key to victory. Whether Rommel gets his trademark goggles or O'Connor avoids the fate of being captured depends on the decisions of the players.
