Niner

Niner is a small bidding trick-taker for 2 players loosely based on David Parlett's Ninety-Nine. Both players are dealt a hand of 10 cards from which they must choose one card to act as the bid for the round. Among the undealt cards, the top card is flipped over to reveal trump. The trump suit acts as another bid. The player bid and the trump card together make a set of primary and secondary bids, which are worth 3 and 2 points respectively. The game ends as soon as one player gets 9 points or after 9 rounds.
