Cognizant

Cognizant is a solo or co-operative tactical deck-builder. Play as giant biomechanical mecha through a series of encounters crafting a unique deck and unlocking other powerful equipment along the way. Players will choose from one of four playerboards known as "Echoes" and build an initial deck called a configuration indicated on the back of the Operations and Configuration card. This initial deck is built from a mix of basic action cards and signature action cards that are specific to each "Echo"; These are used to attack, move, defend, or trigger other abilities in combat to defeat enemies. Next, players will choose the starting stage map and populate it with encounter tokens based on the chosen difficulty. Players win by completing the three stage maps and defeating each stage boss enemy. A secondary Endless mode is available to play, during which players will complete ever increasingly difficult encounters gaining points from unlocking cards and other upgrades. Each stage completion adds additional difficulty for players to overcome.
