Beyond the Event Horizon

Beyond the Event Horizon is a diesel-punk inspired 4X space tile game that focuses on larger, multi-player combats and customizable ships. It focuses less on civilization building and focuses more on fast-paced, competitive gameplay. Enter through a black hole into uncharted space. Discover new planets to capture them for resources and tech. Use this tech to upgrade your ships with basic upgrades and special upgrades found in space. You can then customize your three different ship types to create a superior fighting force and dominate your opponents in large battles. Battles can have dozens of ships, from multiple players all fighting for control of an area, and the battles move so quickly you'll have lots of opportunities to come back for a second chance at winning. You can use planetary enhancements to develop and defend your planets. During each round marauder ships will enter through new placed wormholes to attack and when defeated, they drop new special upgrades to enhance your ships. These wormholes open up the battlefield as you can travel through them to access different parts or the map. The tiles are placed in a new spot every game, so find new strategies to win. Beyond the Event Horizon features streamlined rules with complex, engaging strategy. This is a great game for beginners of 4X space tile games, with still so much for long time lovers of the genre.
