Kill Switch

Kill Switch is an abstract boardgame for two players. What makes Kill Switch unique is that the players decide how their pieces move and how the board looks like. As a matter of fact, setting up the board and pieces – and changing them continuously during the game - plays a key role in the strategy. Chance and luck do not play any role in Kill Switch! No dice or chance cards: it’s entirely up to you to win the game. Contrary to chess and - as a matter of fact - most games, Kill Switch will start differently every time. There are over 1028 possible positions to create in Phase 1 and hundreds of actions to choose from each turn in the Combat Phase! Goal of the game is to disable the opponent. That is no surprise, is it? The way to do that is by hitting the opponent’s Kill Switch. If you succeed in that, all enemy units are turned off immediately and you win. The challenge is to program your Bots in such a way that enables them to break through enemy lines. But you also have to keep up your own defenses against your opponent who is after your Kill Switch! —description from the designer
