Playing Jökö requires a sharp eye, quick reflexes and an ability to play faster than your opponent. The aim of the game is to be the first to get rid of all your cards by placing them onto the matching symbols. PREPARATION Shuffle the cards and deal out the entire deck to all players. Each player must hold their cards face-down in one hand. The other hand is used to play. PLAYING THE GAME For 2 players Each player, one at a time, flips over the top card of their pile and places it face-up in a row in front of them. Each player has their own row, and they take turns to play up to 5 cards in each row. When there are two matching cards on the table-identical symbols-, players must place one of their cards onto the matching cards before their opponent, irrespective of whether the cards are in the row in front of them or in the opposite row. This can happen before these rows are completed with 5 cards each. If so, after covering the matching cards on the table, players continue taking tums to complete their rows. If each player has already placed 5 cards in their row and there are no identical symbols on display, each player collects the cards of their own row and places them face-down at the bottom of their pile of cards.
