Peak Courage: The Battle for Mount Hermon – October 1973

At the beginning of the October 1973 Yom Kippur War, Syrian helicopter borne commandos captured the Israeli top-secret military outpost at the top of the 6,000ft Mount Hermon. Two days after capture, the Israeli's failed at retaking the outpost in a daylight attack. Two weeks later, they launched the second assault at night and after heavy fighting, recaptured the outpost. Peak Courage is an area movement - impluse game that covers both Israeli assaults. Game Scale: Game Turn: 2 hours Area: 1" = 340 yards / 25mm = 311 meters Units: Individual vehicles to Companies Game Inventory: One 11x 17" full color map One dual-side printed countersheet (80 1/2" counters) One 8-page rulebook Solitaire Playability: High Complexity Level: Medium Players: 1 or more Playing Time: 1-2 hours Note: Players will need to provide one 10-sided die and one deck of standard playing cards for game play.
